On March 7th, Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero (32-2) will return to the ring against WBA "regular" welterweight champion Keith Thurman (24-0) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The fight will headline the debut edition of Al Haymon's "Premier Boxing Champions" on NBC.

Guerrero's father and trainer Ruben said that he looks great and is already in good enough shape to step in the ring now.

"Robert is looking great. He's fresh. He's ready to get in the ring today or tomorrow. He's ready to go," said the elder Guerrero to BoxingScene.com.

In the summer of 2012 ,Guerrero jumped up two weight classes when he defeated Selcuk Aydin in San Jose, Calif. Guerrero began his career at 122 pounds and his father said that he's just now become a full blown welterweight.

"Right now he is adapted to the weight. He's a full fledged 147 now. He's not eating to make the weight anymore. When you are eating to make the weight it slows you down a little bit. Now he's going to be faster and quicker. He's a full fledged 147 pounder," Ruben explained.

As for all the trash talk that the talkative Thurman has directed towards Robert, Ruben takes it all in stride and says that he doesn't want to hear any excuses on fight night.

"To me it's nothing but a "G" thang baby.  He better be ready. I know he will be ready so there is no excuse. He's one of the best fighters right now and I respect that. He's undefeated. We don't take nobody lightly," Ruben told BoxingScene.com.
