No more talk. No more waiting. No more 24/7. Later tonight, WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (38-0, 24KOs) will defend his title against Ricky Hatton (43-0, 31KOs) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. A battle of undefeated fighters with a combined record of 81-0. One of them will lose their "0" by the end of the night.

Hatton finally lands his dream fight and Mayweather meets his first undefeated opponent since destroying Diego Corrales in 2001. It's been a long time since an undefeated fighter from one division, considered to be the best at his weight, moved up to a higher weight class to challenge the best fighter at the higher weight, who is also undefeated.

The weigh-in at the MGM Grand was unbelievable. An estimated 5,230 fans packed the room to watch Mayweather and Hatton officially make weight. It's safe to say the majority of the 5K were there to support Hatton. The noise and chants for Hatton were deafening. Mayweather stepped in at an even 147. Hatton promised to preserve his speed by coming in light, weighed 145-pounds.

Mayweather, in his hometown, will have an entire arena against him. Hatton is carrying an entire country on his shoulders.

"I am the best fighter in boxing today and I am going to prove it once again against Ricky Hatton," said Mayweather. "He has done an excellent job of defending his undefeated record by beating everyone they have put in front of him. But come Dec. 8 I am going to put an end to his unbeaten streak."

"I can't wait to get in the ring with Mayweather. I feel I have the perfect style to beat him and to prove that I am the pound for pound best fighter in the world today. He's never faced anybody that has given him the pressure that I am going to give him Dec," Hatton said.
