After eight months of inactivity, heavyweight Martin Rogan has two big options on the table for his next ring appearance. Rogan has already been approved for an October 22 date to fight Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev (13-0) for the EU Heavyweight title in Germany. However, up and coming heavyweight Tyson Fury (15-0, 10KOs) is also calling. Rogan would like to face Pulev for the title, but he is also very interested in facing Fury in a possible Belfast clash with the Irish heavyweight belt at stake.
“I have now got the go-ahead to fight Pulev on October 22, but I was over at the Fury fight in London and something may happen with him now,” revealed Rogan to Belfast Media. "At the same time I don’t want to let the European title fight go either but if the price was right I would maybe think again about Germany.
“After Fury won there was a lot of talk about coming to Belfast for a dust-up. I think [Fury's promoter] Mick Hennessy wanted to do a bit of business quickly so hopefully we can get it done and give the fans here something to look forward to.”
