According to the South African Broadcasting Corporation, Isaac Hlatshwayo (27-1, 9KOs) is a frontrunner to fight Ricky Hatton (43-1, 31KOs) on May 24 in Manchester. Hlatshwayo, the current IBO welterweight champion, would moved to 140-pounds to challenge Hatton, the IBO's junior welterweight champ.

Hlatshwayo's only loss was at the hands of Kendall Holt. He was dropped three times on route to losing by way of a wide unanimous decision.

Hatton is coming off the knockout loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. last December.
