Former four-division champion Adrien Broner recently told Fighthype.com's Ben Thompson that he plans on staying in the 140 pound division and is targeting a fight against WBA super lightweight champion Ricky Burns of Scotland.

It had been speculated that Broner (32-2, 24KOs) would move up to welterweight after failing to make weight against Ashley Theophane in his most recent fight this past April which caused him to lose the WBA title at the scales.

"I want Adrien Broner next. AB = About Barthelemy," Barthelemy said in reference to Adrien Broner's initials and nickname.

Barthelemy (25-0, 13KOs) last fought in June when he won a split decision against Mickey Bey. In December he defeated Denis Shafikov via unanimous decision to capture the vacant IBF lightweight title to become a two-division champion.

He said that he would like to move back up to 140 pounds in his next fight.

"I read that Broner wants to fight Ricky Burns and get his 140 pound title back. Fight me. Let's make it happen. I will be a problem for him," Barthelemy told BoxingScene.com.
