Unbeaten 18 year old flyweight prospect Manuel Roman has been added to the July 14th "Battle of the Rising Stars" show at the Quiet Cannon in Montebello.  Roman, originally from Tijuana, Mexico and now living in Paramount, CA., is currently 7-0-1 with 5 knockouts, including impressive victories over Oscar Blanquet (7-0 at the time) and the extremely tough Jose Luis Cardenas (4-5-1, all 5 losses coming at the hands of undefeated fighters).  He will face veteran Valentin Leon, 18-14-2, who has championship fight experience and as been in the ring with title holders including Daniel Reyes and Brian Viloria.  Leon is from Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico.  This brings the fight card to a total of 7 bouts, including four 6 round fights, making it a full night of exciting professional boxing.
