Dereck Chisora has vowed to take full advantage of the second chance he has been given to fight Wladimir Klitschko.

The two were supposed to meet in Germany before Christmas, only for the WBO/IBF world heavyweight champion to be ruled out through injury. It looked like Klitschko might opt to fight David Haye instead.

But when negotiations between the two camps broke down, Chisora was offered another crack at the Ukrainian.

The fight will now take place in Mannheim, Germany, on April 30.

"I always thought there might be a chance it would happen," said Chisora at a London press conference today. "Now it's been confirmed I am so excited.

"I'm massively confident that I can win this fight.

"Going to Germany and fighting in front of all those fans will be an inspiration.

"To have 40,000 people wanting me to lose will help me raise my game to a new level. I am in the shape of my life, I'm having a great training camp, and I am ready to go out there and knock Klitschko out."

Promoter Frank Warren added: "Having dealt with David Haye before, I always thought there was a chance that he wouldn't be able to do a deal with Klitstchko,

"There was a clause in the contract between Dereck and Wladimir stating that they had 30 days to offer us a new fight, and lo and behold, on the 30th day they made the offer and we accepted.

"It's a big ask for Dereck, and people will make him the underdog and write off his chances.

"But this is going to be a much closer fight than everyone thinks. Klitschko is a very capable fighter, he's got a lot going for him.

"He's been exposed before though, and Chisora is the perfect guy to do it again.

"Dereck has got all the tools to beat Klitschko. He's got fast hands, he's a good mover, he throws combinations and he comes to fight, and all those attributes mean that he's got a really good chance."
