Peter Quillin will defend his world title belt against Gabriel Rosado on October 26th, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer told BoxingScene.com late Saturday night.
Schaefer confirmed the rumor that had been floating around the boxing circles within the last week or so.
The Quillin-Rosado fight will take place at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ.
In his last fight on April 27th, Quillin (29-0, 21 KOs) stopped Fernando Guerrero in the seventh round at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Rosado (21-6, 13 KOs) lost a controversial 10 round split decision to J'Lein Love in his last fight on May 4th in Las Vegas.
The Quillin-Rosado fight will precede the 12 round light heavyweight bout between champion Bernard Hopkins and challenger Karo Murat.
Showtime will televise the card.
