In less than two weeks, WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (24-1, 17 KOs) defends his title against unbeaten Paul McCloskey (22-0, 12 KOs) at the M.E.N. Arena in Manchester, England. McCloskey is convinced that Khan can't beat him. The former British and European 140-pound king is preparing to travel over to England to finish up his training.

McCloskey says he is not motivated by money. He wants Khan's WBA championship and the recognition of being the best at his weight.

“Anyone who says they wanted to a world champion from the first time they put on the gloves is talking rubbish. It has always been about winning for me. I always wanted titles instead of money. As I went through all the fights I have been in I have never thought ‘That guy could beat me," McCloskey said to Newsletter.

“I have been a British and European champion and I have always felt that I was going to to win the fight. Every title has been important to me and I have always taken it one fight at a time. I am not a dreamer and this sport is all about hard work and results. It is great a huge number of Irish fans are heading over for the fight. It will be great to hear them in the stadium and they have to make a much noise as possible."
