Despite his inactivity over the last two years, and the rise of such champions like Sergey Kovalev and Adonis Stevenson, former WBC champion Jean Pascal (28-2-1, 17KOs) is confident that he's still the biggest name, in terms of money, at 175-pounds. Pascal will return on January 18th, when he faces Canadian rival Lucian Bute at the Bell Center in Montreal.
If he gets past Bute, Pascal is not planning to call people out. If guys like Kovalev and Stevenson want to make money, Pascal is advising them to pick up the phone.
"I'm not even a champion and I'm still the cash cow of the division. I'm the one who is selling out 16,000 in Quebec City, 17,000 in Montreal and now I'm going to do 20,000 at the Bell Centre. I'm the cash cow and I'm not even the champion. If they want to make money, they need to call me out," Pascal said.
