On Friday’s episode of ProBox TV’s “Deep Waters,” analysts Paulie Malignaggi and Chris Algieri parse out the latest details of the Ryan Garcia PEDs-testing saga. While Malignaggi puts the odds of supplement contamination in “Mega Millions” territory and Algieri notes that the timing and trace levels of ostarine found in Garcia’s testing samples ahead of his April fight with Devin Haney wouldn’t give him an advantage on fight night, they agree that Garcia’s actions and the explanations from the fighter and his team don’t all add up.

Well they do know now and should take very swift and decisive action against Ryan Garcia for popping dirty.
To do otherwise, would just further cement the sully reputation of an already corrupt sport.
Ryan Garcia has been caught cheating. He has violated one of the NYSAC rules and should pay dearly for it.

They didn’t know at the time of the fight.
They were notified about a week later of the positive tests.

At the very least they could change the verdict to a no contest or at best a disqualification.

If that happens then Team Haney should sue both the WBC and the NYSAC. They put both his life and health in jeopardy.
They allowed a combatant that they knew who was hopped up dope. To enter into a boxing ring to compete in a professional prizefight.
