WBA interim-junior middleweight champion Anthony Mundine (43-4, 25KOs) is willing to rematch Daniel Geale (26-1, 15KOs), the IBF's champion at middleweight. They fought in 2009, and Mundine pulled off a controversial twelve round split decision to win the IBO's middleweight title. Six months later, Mundine vacated the belt when the IBO ordered a rematch. Geale defends his title against Osumana Adama at the Derwent Entertainment Centre on March 7.
"I believe I beat him the first time," Mundine told The Mercury. "And I'll beat him again. I want to shock the world."
Mundine is planning to make a debut very soon in the United States. He recently signed a deal with influental American manager Cameron Dunkin. A multi-fight deal with promotional firm Top Rank is being discussed.
