When Shane Mosley challenges Antonio Margarito for the WBA welterweight title on January 24 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, he plans to repeat the same magic that he showed in 2000 when he decisioned a prime Oscar De La Hoya at the very same venue for the WBC title.

"I'm very happy to be back at the Staples Center. I had a very memorable moment here with Oscar De La Hoya in 2000 and now I'm coming back to have another memorable moment with Margarito," Mosley told BoxingScene.com's Luis Sandoval. "I know it's going to be spectacular."

Mosley has been jumping between junior middleweight and welterweight for the last few years. He says the welterweight limit is his prefered weight class. Mosley feels stronger and faster at 147-pounds. He plans to combat Margarito's pressure and power with a combo of speed and power.

"154 is cool, but I think 147 is more of my weight. I'm a lot quicker and probably hit a little harder at 147. The main thing is to not stand in front of Margarito when he pressures. I'm not afraid of his pressure. I'm not afraid of his power or how hard he hits because I hit hard as well. I'm not a punching bag and he better expect my power as well," Mosley said.

Mosley will be using new trainer Nazim Richardson for the fight. Richardson has been making a name for himself with his recent work with Bernard Hopkins.

"Nazim is a good trainer. A thinking trainer who can spot a lot of different things in a fight like different faults. I think it's a great move," Mosley. We haven't finished our training camp yet but it's already great."
