Former three division world champion 'Sugar' Shane Mosley is dashing the hell out of Amir Khan's Olympic dreams -- saying it would be a major mistake to fight at the 2016 Games in Rio after the way he was brutally knocked last month by Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez.
Earlier this week, the AIBA - which governs amateur boxing - officially passed their new rule which allows professional boxers to fight in the Olympics.
While many professional fighters expressed outrage over the new rule change, Khan was one of the few high profile fighters who was interested in returning to the Olympic games. In recent months, both Wladimir Klitschko and Manny Pacquiao have also hinted at the possibility of potentially fighting in the Olympics.
Khan, who was representing Britain, won silver medal at the 2004 Olympic games. This time around he wants to represent his family roots by entering the Olympics for Pakistan.
Mosley shook his head at Khan's comments and advised him to rethink his Olympic plans.
"I don’t think after getting knocked the f*** out Khan should be talking about representing anyone," Mosley said.
As for Mosley, the boxer says he WILL be in Rio for the games, but not to fight ...
"I think there are better people than me to represent the USA. I will be in Rio for the games though. And having a lot of sex on the beach," Mosley said.
