The lightweight champion of International Boxing Federation (IBF), Mexico's Miguel "Puppet" Vazquez (33-3, 13 KOs) is closing his preparation for his title rematch against Panama's Ammeth Diaz (32-11 , 23 KOs), taking place on the 26th of October at the Caliente Racetrack in Tijuana, Baja California. Vazquez is close to the lightweight limit of 135-pounds and doesn't expect any issues on the scale. The Mexican champion wants bigger fights in the future and has his heart set on some of the biggest names in the sport - including a revenge match against WBO 147-pound champion Tim Bradley, who beat Vazquez in 2007.
"Bradley, I trust that God that I will get this rematch, and I will take away his undefeated record. I'm ready for Bradley. He won the first one, and he is a good fighter, but I've improved, and I know I'm better than him. I want him to give me a rematch to prove it. I definitely want to face Bradley, Brandon Rios, and Danny Garcia, another rival that would be difficult in my career, but I feel that I have the ability to win. And I want to send another challenge to Danny Garcia, you're a good fighter, you're a great champion, but Miguel "Puppet" Vazquez asks you to give him a chance to prove that he is better," Vazquez said.
