WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto is very happy with his new trainer, Luis Diaz of Cuba. Cotto recently replaced Emanuel Steward with Diaz. The Puerto Rican champion is training in Florida for his December 3rd rematch with Antonio Margarito of Mexico. The rematch takes place at New York's Madison Square Garden.  On July 26, 2008, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Margarito (38-7, 27 KOs) stopped Cotto (36-2, 29 KOs) in eleven rounds.

"I've known Pedro for many years. Now we are at the stage of focusing on the game plan and I have the willingness to work hard in training. I feel great. I'm very focused for this fight. The desire and energy is there to do the work in the gym every day. We just started the camp, but everything is running smoothly. Now begins the intense stage. Pedro is a great coach. He knows a lot about the sport. We discussed the fight. We're going to focus on all aspects and do what is necessary to win on December 3rd," Cotto told Jose Sanchez.
