Puerto Rican superstar Miguel Cotto is in Mexico, where the boxer is enjoying a few days of vacation before he begins his training camp for the upcoming defense of his WBC middleweight title, against Mexican star Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.
Cotto visited Mexico City for the second time in less than two weeks after coming to the area on August 25th as part of the promotional tour for the Canelo fight.
This time around, his stay in Mexico is simply to relax and to enjoy the city landmarks, including the Basilica of Guadalupe, which he attended on the Friday evening and lit a couple of candles.
Accompanied by family and friends, he also took a look at the Soumaya Museum, and the Pyramids of Teotihuacan and Xochimilco.
Cotto plans to fly to Los Angeles on September 25th and he will begin his training camp, with coach Freddie Roach at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, on September 28th.
The defense against Canelo takes place on November 21 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, on HBO Pay-Per-View.
