According to The Courier-Journal, former heavyweight champion Oliver McCall (48-8) wants another crack at a heavyweight title, a rematch with WBC heavyweight champion Oleg Maskaev (33-5).
The two first met in 1996, where McCall knocked out an inexperienced Maskaev in the first round. Maskaev was only 6-0 back then, while McCall was 26-6. After stopping heavyweight contender Darroll Wilson in four rounds on Saturday at the Louisville Gardens, the 41-year-old veteran is willing to head over to Russia to face Maskaev one more time.
"Any of the champions," McCall said. "I'm ready to bring the titles back to America. This is just the first step. I would like to go overseas and knock out Oleg Maskaev right over there in his country. I would like to bring the first of four major titles back to America by going to Russia and doing it and bringing it back just like going to London. The only difference is I'm not going to lose it back."
