A few weeks ago, veteran trainer and former fighter Floyd Mayweather Sr. found himself in a bit of hot water when a woman claimed that he struck her during an argument.

Now the 65-year-old is facing a different legal mess, as 29-year-old Purisa Farris has sued Mayweather Sr. for child support in connection to their 1-year-old daughter, Nalani Mayweather.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Farris sued Mayweather Sr. on January 16. She claims he is the father of her 1-year-old, and she lists the date of conception as October 2016. Farris accuses him of failing to pay child support from October through December 2017.

In going through the court documents, it should be noted that Mayweather Sr. is not listed as the father on the birth certificate, and he also was not present during the birth.

Farris claims he communicated with her throughout the pregnancy and obviously a paternity test will be conducted unless Mayweather Sr. confirms the information contained in the suit.

Mayweather Sr. has not yet responded to the legal documents. Farris claims he has not paid for any medical expenses, clothing or food nor has he visited the child.

Former undisputed heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield is no stranger to financial issues.

TheJasmineBRAND reports that Holyfield has been hit with two tax liens - both for unpaid state taxes in his home state of Georgia.

According to the celebrity news site, “the 1st lien accuses the 55-year-old retired boxing champ of refusing to pay unpaid tax debt for 2011. The total was originally $17,810 but over the years it grew with interest to $37,663.51.”

“The 2nd says that he owes back taxes for 2010 and 2012. The lien accuses him of originally owing only $18k for the 2 years but grew with interest to a total of $39,425.12 – broken down as $5,192.45 for 2012 and $34,232.67 for 2010.”

If Holyfield doesn’t pay, the Georgia Department of Revenue will begin the process of seizing his property and assets.
