Floyd Mayweather's verbal assault on Shane Mosley continues. During an interview with the New York Times , Mayweather insisted that Shane Mosley has ducked him for ten years. Mayweather said that he is tired of chasing Mosley and thinks the fight should happen now.

"He has earned the right to fight me,” Mayweather said. “Mosley’s been ducking me for 10 years now. I’ve been chasing Shane Mosley forever. I can’t keep chasing the guy. I just want to beat the best fighters out there. People talk about me fighting Antonio Margarito next. Antonio Margarito is not a household name. It’s about business. We need guys who can generate pay-per-view numbers."

When the subject was brought up on how Mayweather would deal with the speed and strength of Mosley, the Pretty Boy said that Sugar Shane makes too many mistakes in the ring and those mistakes will cost him if they fight.

“I would love to fight Mosley. He makes too many mistakes. The punches come too wide. He uses a pity-pat jab. If you come too wide, I see everything coming, no matter how fast you are. I’ve been hit by some of the best fighters in boxing and walked right through it. It’s not what you can take, it’s what you can dish out. And I’m known for dishing out whippings.”

The problem at the moment is Mosley standing firm on his decision to not fight again until 2007. Mayweather shot back and said that instead of dealing with Shane, he will speak to Mosley's wife, Jin, who Mayweather says "runs the household."

“I got to talk to Jin, she runs the show. We can make the fight happen. She’s the boss of their household. I’m the boss of my household.”
