Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer has confirmed to BoxingScene.com that Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs) vs. Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs) will take place at catch-weight of 152-pounds, on September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Showtime Pay-Per-View will carry the event.

"Both fighters feel comfortable with that [weight], so it will obviously be for Canelo's WBC and Ring Magazine belts, and his WBA belt, and Floyd's WBA super champion belt at 154. It is going to be for all the belts, all the marbles, and it's going to be for [the] pound-for-pound [status]...who will be the one?," Schaefer told BoxingScene.com.
