FORMER Commonwealth Champion Bradley Pryce claimed an important victory in the chief support clash in Matchroom Sport's latest boxing show at the York Hall in London's East End.
Pryce was last in action in February when he lost in the semi-finals of Prizefighter Light-Middleweights but he got his career back on a track with a second round victory against Ted Bami.
Bami has held the European Light-Welterweight belt and started brightly in the opener.
However, it would not go another three minutes as a left from Pryce caught Bami off balance and the Welshman then attacked with a flurry of left and rights that eventually sent Bami down.
The Brixton Barber was struggling to get up but got to his feet just after the referee had counted eight. However, much to Bami's fury, the official looked at Bami and called the fight off.
Elsewhere, ex British, Commonwealth and European heavyweight champion Matt Skelton claimed a victory with a fifth round stoppage triumph against Lincoln's Lee Swaby.
Swaby looked out of his depth as Skelton landed 49 times in the opening three rounds compared to only 12 from Swaby.
It ended in dramatic style after a minute of the fifth as a beautiful right hook from Skelton saw Swaby fold as his legs gave way. He scrambled to his feet but signalled to his corner that he had taken enough punishment.
Prince Arron became Prizefighter Light-Middleweight champion earlier this year and he continued his march towards a shot at the British title with a fine victory over Midlands title holder Tony Randell.
A perfectly-timed right uppercut from Arron sent Randell sprawling to the floor in the fourth although the fight was not over. In the sixth a barrage from Arron saw Randell go down again, although Arron also lost his balance and ended up on top of his opponent.
Once again Randell managed to continue but Arron pressed forward and got the stoppage after two minutes, eight seconds of the sixth.
Michael Lomax is another who has tasted Prizefighter success as he was victorious in the welterweight tournament back in 2008.
He was up against former Ghanian champion Stephen Okine and Lomax looked in complete control for the opening five rounds.
But there was nearly a twist in the tale as a bad clash of heads in the last left Lomax cut in the centre of his forehead with blood gushing down his face and on to the canvas.
It made for a thrilling finish as Lomax was pushing for a stoppage before his cut denied him. It went the distance and Lomax avoided further damage to claim a deserved victory by 59-55.
Ex British light-welterweight king Barry Morrison returned to winning ways after a number of body shots did damage to Billy Smith's ribs. Smith, competing in his 96th fight, had only been stopped six times throughout his career but that figure moved to seven as, after being floored in the first, Smith retired on his stool before the start of the second.
Poland's Gregorgz Proksa maintained his undefeated record as he easily outclassed Alex Spitko. Proksa now has 21 wins from 21 contests after flooring Spitko twice in the second and once in the fourth before the referee put Spitko out of his misery.
Londoner George Hillyard gained a hard-fought points victory by a score of 59-57 over Keiron Gray, who suffered only the second defeat of his career.
Phill Gray won the opening fight of the night, a welterweight contest, as he defeated Jason Nesbitt 40-36 on points.
Hugely popular light-welterweight Chris Evangelou won an entertaining clash with Aaron Fox. Evangelou got the verdict by a 40-36 scoreline and is now undefeated from four contests.
