MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum made headlines recently when he suggested that if Manny Pacquiao defeats Tim Bradley and decides to continue his career, a mega-fight against WBC middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez could be in the future for the eight-division champion.

Canelo (46-1-1, 32KOs) defends his world title next month against Pacquiao's former sparring partner, Amir Khan, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

BoxingScene.com and other members of the press spoke to Juan Manuel Marquez after Pacquiao (58-6-2, 38KOs) defeated Bradley to get his take on the potential matchup between the Filipino superstar and Canelo.

Marquez feels Canelo, who fought his last four bouts at 155-pounds and rehydrates to over 170, as being too big.

"I don't know.  Pacquiao is retired now.  Canelo is too big of a fighter.  He is two divisions (higher)," said Marquez.

At the post fight press conference Pacquiao said that his family urged him to retire but admitted that in his heart he is "50-50" on hanging up his gloves. His promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank, and trainer Freddie Roach, believe he will fight again in the not too distant future.

Marquez said that even though Canelo is significantly bigger than Pacquiao, he would be very interested in seeing that fight.

"I would like to see Canelo, he is too big for Manny, but I would like to see that fight. I don't know. Canelo is a younger fighter and has power but I think maybe the people want to see that fight," Marquez stated.

Marquez fought Pacquiao on four occasions. In their fourth and final meeting back in 2012, Marquez scored a dramatic one-punch knockout of Pacquiao in the sixth round. Pacquiao has gone 4-1 since then.
