Less than a week remains. Antonio Margarito and Miguel Cotto are eager to do serious damage on December 3rd at New York's Madison Square Garden. Cotto plans to use every advantages possible. The Puerto Rican star will have no problem targeting Margarito's surgically repaired right eye, which the Mexican boxer injured during last year's brutal beatdown from Manny Pacquiao.
Cotto is convinced Margarito used illegal plaster-laced handwraps in their July 2008 clash, which the Mexican boxer won with a technical knockout in eleven.
"I'm going to use any kind of advantage I feel I have over him, everything I have in the ring," said Cotto. "I'm going to fight like always, with my heart and my soul. I'm going to do my work. He was playing with the health of somebody else, attempting to kill - he used plaster on his wraps, he used a weapon on me - he has to be treated like a criminal."
Margarito is hungry to knock Cotto out for a second time. He wants to show everyone that his first win was clean. Cotto's allegation are starting to get him riled up.
“F**k Cotto. If he thinks that I had plaster, it will hurt [in the rematch] like I was using plaster. And he will know it," Margarito said.
