Former three-time welterweight champion Antonio Margarito is counting down the days until his suspension is up. His license was revoked in February over a plaster-like substance being discovered in his hand wraps about thirty-minutes prior to his fight with Shane Mosley on January 24. The suspension is up on January 23 and Margarito is then free to apply for a new license.

Margarito plans to return between February and March, at welterweight, but says a move to junior middleweight is in his future. If WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto is able to beat Manny Pacquiao on November 14, Margarito would like to give him a rematch. Cotto's sole career loss, by knockout, came to Margarito in July of 2008.

"I'd give Cotto a rematch. I think that fight will be good. The only loss he has is to me, and if he wants to remove that thorn from his side, then I will give him a second defeat," said Margarito to ESPN Deportes Radio

Another man Margarito wants to fight is Mosley. As he previously stated in the past, he struggled to make weight for the fight.

"I had three or four pounds left to go, and then I was stuck. I struggled to make the weight. I trained like I always do, but ... what really messed me up was the weight," Margarito said.
