Heavyweight contender Amir Mansour is not convinced that Wladimir Klitschko was genuinely injured when he pulled out of a scheduled bout with Tyson Fury.

Mansour, still smarting from a controversial draw with Gerald Washington on October 13, told BoxingScene.com that he believes Fury may have his Ukrainian opponent’s number.

“I don’t think Klitschko is injured at all, I really don’t,” Amir said matter-of-factly.

“I think he’s worried about Tyson Fury.  I don’t know Tyson Fury personally but I do know he trains hard, and, I believe he has the size to maximise his potential for winning that fight.  I believe he has the perfect size to easily beat Klitschko.  I think that we’ve seen the best of Klitschko already and I don’t think he can get up enough for this fight in order to beat Tyson Fury.  He is a better boxer and he has more experience but I just think Fury is really hungry and I think he will impose the type of fight that Klitschko doesn’t want.”

The clash for the heavyweight world title has been rescheduled for November 28 but Mansour is adamant that the Manchester-based Fury will have the edge regardless.

“If he is injured then I wish him a speedy recovery.  I’m a big fan of Klitschko, he’s always given his best and anything can happen leading up to these fights.  I know I always going into these fights with something nagging.  But it takes a lot for me to cancel a fight so I really don’t know.  I just don’t think he can beat Tyson Fury.

“If the Klitschko that fought Bryant Jennings shows up it’s going to be an easy night for Tyson Fury.”
