WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao made history on Saturday night at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. He captured a record eight world title with a dominating twelve round decision over Antonio Margarito. Pacquiao picked up the vacant WBC junior middleweight title, but his team, and Arum, expect him to return to the welterweight division in his next fight.

The fight with Margarito was one-sided and brutal, but Pacquiao admits that a bodyshot in the sixth hurt him badly and he was lucky to make it to the seventh round. Margarito, known for his hard hooks to the body, was able to catch him to the ribs but Pacquiao was very elusive and wouldn't allow him to follow-up.

"In the sixth round, he got me with a good shot, a bodyshot. It was really painful. I'm lucky to survive that round," Pacquiao said.

"This was not an easy fight. This was the hardest fight in my boxing career. Margarito is really tough and strong. I [could] feel it. He was really big, bigger than me. I want to give a good fight and make people happy and that's why sometimes I fight him toe to toe and exchanged punches. I won the fight, but I can't say that it's an easy fight. It was hard."
