Lucian Bute Knocks Out Librado Andrade in Four Rounds

At Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec City, Quebec, Lucian Bute (25-0, 20KOs) knocked out Librado Andrade (28-3, 21KOs) in four rounds to retain his IBF super middleweight title. Bute erased the drama from last October's controverial win over Andrade.

Bute was very cautious in the first round and tried to stay out of range while Andrade pushed forward. Bute seemed to box well from the distance. The second round played out in the same way but in the third round - Bute began to let his hands go and landed some big left hands to push Andrade back.

During the fourth round, they began to trade hard punches. Andrade walked into a left hand and went down on his face. He made it up and tried to trade punches at close range. A moment later Bute unloaded with a massive body shot to send Andrade down for the full count.

********. You wouldn't have said that before the Kessler fight. Ward is still too wild sometimes, and he could get ko'ed just like Andrade. Dawson is a ****ing lightheavy so... And that's why we make decisions based off who fighter have fought. And after watching Ward fight, he would beat Bute...wild or not wild. And Dawson would run circles around anyone from 168-175. He's the truth! Bute beats Andrade.....damn Andrade and he's the best SMW. You sound like the bullshitter here.

Dawson is a ****ing lightheavy so... Bad Chad can easily make SMW at any time, as long as its the right fight for the right money.

Excellent showing for Bute, the guys is definitely legit at SMW. I would go as far as to rank him in the top spot, but the man is has proven himself now. Andrade is tough as nails, I always like watching him. Hopefully he finds a way to bounce back from this.

I think Bute would beat Kessler, but why is everybody automatically picking him as the best Super Middle out there? Andrade is a C-level fighter at best. I didn't get all that excited about this fight because I knew that Bute would wax Andrade in a lop-sided performance. I didn't expect him to KO the dude though. Props for that because Andrade was supposed to have an iron chin. It's been a while since I've read the main story, and it said that Bute knocked him down twice. Once with the head shot of where Andrade fell on his face and then the second knockdown was on a body shot.

I must say that i am already a fan of Bute and i have seen a lot of his fights. I was rooting for him tonight but i thought he would either win a decision or get knocked out. Never in a million years i would have thought that Bute could knock out Andrade. I had some people over who aren't really boxing fans and i was telling them that Andrade was a human tank and that Bute had to fight very carefully in order to win. When he landed that short left and dropped Andrade i let out a huge "Whatttttttttttttt?!?" :lol1:
