Teatro Principe, Milan, Lombardia, Italy - Luca Giacon (27-1, 23 KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Steve Jamoye (16-1-1, 2 KOs) to capture the interim-WBC silver junior welterweight championship. Jamoye took some damage and went down from a hook to the body in round seven. The scores were 119-109, 116-111, 118-109. Giacon has now won six fights in a row since losing by way of a second round TKO to Emiliano Marsili in 2013, when they battled for the vacant EBU lightweight championship. Last year Giacon started moving up the ranks when he captured the WBA Continental super lightweight championship and retained it.
