Tijuana boxing manager Antonio "Cañitas" Lozada is confident his fighter, former champion Humberto "Zorrita" Soto (59-8-2, 34KOs), is far from finished in the sport of boxing. Contrary to the statements being reported, Soto is not declining in his career and he is still focused on capturing another world title and also wants a rematch with Argentine puncher Lucas Matthysse.

Last June Soto was stopped in five rounds by Matthysse but came back in November to decision Jose Lopez. He faces Silverio "Chamaco" Ortiz (26-13, 12KOs) for the WBC's silver junior welterweight title on February 9th at Arena Itson in Ciudad Obregon, Mexico.

is the final stage of his career, let alone finish a fighter; contrary to statements that we read out there, the race is not plummeting Humberto therefore has the mind set on the world title and a rematch with Matthysse, who played on championship soon.

"If they think they will face a Soto who is declining - they are in for a very unpleasant surprise. I am present during his workouts every day and I see that he is in excellent shape, and a very disciplined fighter and committed to his profession. He has great qualities and the whole experience [of losing to Matthysse] has left him with the best mindset. Nobody is saying that [Ortiz] will be an easy fight....every opponent is a little tricky, but there is confidence in the work that we've done will get the win," said Lozada, the president of Baja Boxing.
