Manny Pacquiao says that his third bout with Timothy Bradley will be his last fight. Harold Lederman, who will be commentating on the bout from ringside as HBO’s unofficial scorer, thinks that won’t actually be the case.
Lederman thinks Pacquiao will need money — not only for himself, but for those who rely on him.
“Manny spends money on that entourage of his. Any time you see Manny, there’s 150 people around him,” Lederman told BoxingScene.com. “Let’s face reality. I’m sure they’re all poor. I’m sure that they need money. And I’m sure Manny takes very good care of him. I have no resistance to poor people and I’m sure Manny doesn’t either. I know Manny takes care of those people.
“I just think Manny’s going to run out of money, and he needs some, and he’ll make himself a quick $40 million by stepping into the ring for Top Rank like he normally does. Bob Arum takes very good care of Manny, and Manny takes very good care of the 150 Filipinos that he hangs around with. It all adds up to the fact that Manny Pacquiao is stepping into the ring again. No questions. I know he’s going to do it. I just know.”
