Junior middleweight contender Deandre "The Bull" Latimore (22-3) won a unanimous decision against Dennis Sharpe (17-7) in their eight-round fight Saturday night in Connecticut.

Latimore pulled a clean sweep of 80-72 on all three cards, in a fight that took place on the non-televised undercard portion of a show headlined by Victor Ortiz' upset win over Andre Berto.

HBO televised the main event and Latimore was happy to have received the opportunity to audition in  front of the network's executives.  He hopes that his performance was enough to entice the network brass to have his next bout appear while the cameras are rolling.

"Last night was a great look in front of HBO,” Latimore told Boxingscene.com. “I boxed and showed off my foot movement and boxing ability. Sharpe was a tough opponent and he came to fight.”

At the top of Latimore's wish list is former champion Paul Williams, who is tentatively set to return to the ring in June on HBO.

Latimore said that he would have no problems being ready in time and feels that the styles of the two American fighters would be great for the fans.

"We want Paul Williams next. I think that would be a good fight for TV and the fans," said Latimore who is from St. Louis, where HBO will set up camp for a June 25 telecast.
