According to scribe Dan Rafael, there is a possibility that IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko will face former champ Hasim Rahman in the fall.
It appears that a Klitschko representative has approached Rahman's promoter, Top Rank, with some interest in the fight.
In order for the fight to come off, Klitschko would have win his July 7 rematch against Lamon Brewster in Germany, and Rahman would have to win on June 14 against Taurus Sykes.
Rahman's manager Steve Nelson told Rafael that his fighter is on a short list of fighters to face Klitschko in the fall, but he is not getting his hopes up.
"We know we're on the short list," Nelson said. "We've been on the short list before. Right now, 'Rock' just has to worry about winning and looking good. He needs to be more impressive than just getting a win. He has to come up with a knockout in this fight. Then we'd love to fight Klitschko."
