Add two more to the list. BoxingScene.com has been advised the former champions Kiko Martinez (32-5, 24KOs) and Gabriel Campillo (25-6-1, 12KOs) have inked agreements with powerful adviser/manager Al Haymon.
Martinez, a former IBF super bantamweight champion, is still one of the top contenders in his weight class. Since December of 2009, only Carl Frampton has been able to beat Martinez, who picked up wins over Hozumi Hasegawa, Jeffrey Mathebula and Jhonatan Romero.
Campillo, a former WBA light heavyweight champion, was written off by many after his 2013 knockout loss to Andrzej Fonfara (also with Haymon), but now he is riding a three fight knockout streak - including last August's fifth round TKO upset of previously undefeated top contender Thomas Williams Jr. (who is represented by Haymon). Campillo's name has been mentioned as a potential challenger to WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson, who is also with Haymon.
The two fighters are co-promoted by former two-division world champion Sergio Martinez and Sampson Lewkowicz of Sampson Boxing.
Haymon, with over 170 fighters in his stable, is going full steam with his new boxing series - 'Premier Boxing Champions' - on NBC and Spike TV. His company, Haymon Boxing, is currently in talks to gain additional airtime on several other top networks, including ESPN. Haymon's fighters regularly appear on Showtime.
