British junior welterweight has warned Amir Khan about his upcoming opponent, unbeaten European champ Paul McCloskey. Khan defends the WBA 140-pound title against McCloskey on April 16 at the MEN Arena in Manchester. Daws tells Gavin Glicksman of The Sun that McCloskey should not be underestimated.

Daws, who is very familiar with both boxers, expects McCloskey to be prepared for the fight of his life. He expects the fight to go the distance and doesn't predict a knockout win in either direction. Khan on points, is what Daws predicts as the likely end scenario.

"McCloskey's unbeaten and he's going to be really up for the fight. He's a southpaw, an awkward southpaw, and it will be interesting to see how Khan copes with that. Khan definitely shouldn't be viewing this as an easy night's work because it's going to be a tough fight. McCloskey's bided his time and now he's got to grab his opportunity. But Khan's quick, he's fit and can be busy for 12 rounds, so I can see him nicking it on points," Daws said.
