During a recent conversation with BoxingScene.com and other members of the media, former two time world champion Amir "King" Khan broke down the upcoming May 2nd fight mega-fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.

The 28-year-old Khan feels that the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight would have been more competitive a few years ago when both men were at the prime of their respective careers.

"5 years ago that would have been amazing because obviously they both were at their peak. Since then Manny has been beat. I don't think Manny has what he had 5 years ago - that power and speed - maybe with age he's lost a little but of it - but it is still going to be a great fight," said Khan.

Khan feels that version of Pacquiao would have been a tougher fight for Mayweather and ultimately feels that his own skill set is the biggest challenge out there for Mayweather.

"It would have been a tough fight for Mayweather with the speed and power. Styles make fights. I think my style definitely suits Mayweather. I think I would have given him the biggest problems in his career. Time will tell. I want them big fights. I think that's where I belong," said Khan.

As for a prediction, Khan feels that Mayweather will win a dominant decision.

"I favor Mayweather. Obviously I think the fight will go the distance. I think Manny will win a couple of the rounds   but I think Floyd will be smart and throw single punches. I think it will be a bit of a game of chess," Khan told BoxingScene.com.

Khan has announced that he plans to fight Chris Algieri in late May in New York City.
