WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan admits that an all-British super fight with Ricky Hatton makes "business sense." Khan spoke about the fight during a recent appearance on BBC Radio Manchester. Hatton has not fought since last year's two round knockout loss to Manny Pacquiao and his weight is said to be near the 170-pound mark.
"I'm not sure if Ricky has retired but if the fight did happen it would be huge," Khan said.
Khan returns on December 11, likely in the UK, and there are several names he is considering to fight on the date, which include Marcos Maidana, Juan Manuel Marquez and Victor Ortiz. A fight with Zab Judah is another option Khan would consider in the future.
"I'm looking at Marquez, Maidana or Victor Ortiz in December. I always promised the fans that I'm going to bring big fights to England and that's what I'm hoping for. Zab's a great fighter, he's tough and has a good style. The fight he fought recently wasn't his best but he won convincingly," added Khan. "That could definitely be a fight in the future for me."
