Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer has made it clear that Amir Khan will defend his WBA junior welterweight title on July 23, with or without WBC/WBO champ Timothy Bradley. He told Sport of The World that Robert Guerrero, Erik Morales and IBF champ Zab Judah are under consideration to replace Bradley. Schaefer gave Bradley's promoter, Gary Shaw, until early next week to secure his boxer for the date. HBO and Shaw are happy with the offer of $1.3 million to do the fight, but Bradley is not on board with the financials terms.

"Gary has until early next week to secure Bradley, but it looks like he is having second thoughts. The good news is that there are many A-list fighters willing to face Amir in July as they consider him the top fighter in the 140lb division. Whatever happens with Bradley, Amir will be fighting in the United States on July 23 and we should be able to name an opponent in the next seven days," Schaefer said.

According to Schaefer, the three venues on hold for Khan are - the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, the Los Angeles Sports Arena and Anaheim's Honda Center.
