Assuming that he gets beyond an April 16 clash with unbeaten Paul McCloskey at the MEN Arean in England, then Amir Khan (24-1, 17KOs) will stake his WBA junior welterweight title against his WBC/WBO counterpart Timothy Bradley (27-0, 11KOs) on July 23, likely at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
During a recent televised interview, Bradley advised Khan to "stop running" from the fight. Khan answered back, telling Bradley to prepare himself for a July showdown. Once again, Khan voiced his concern about Bradley using his head during fights.
"I was shocked that he said that. I was fighting [Marcos] Maidana and I knew that he was fighting [Devon] Alexander. I've never said once that I wouldn't fight him. I've been pushing this fight. How is he saying that I'm scared of him? I want that fight so much, so he better get ready because I never said once that I wouldn't fight him. The only thing that I have to worry about in that fight, is his head," Khan said to FanHouse.
