Chumash Casino, Santa Ynez, California - In a crossroads battle of former champions, Kendall Holt (27-4, 15KOs) knocked out Julio Diaz (38-7, 27KOs) in the third round of a welterweight contes. Holt landed two good rights in the first round. There was a clash of heads that opened up a cut above the left eye of Diaz. The second round was even but they were mixing it up in the third and Holt landed a counter left hook that nearly put Diaz to sleep. He barely beat the count and the referee stopped the fight.

Bantamweight prospect Daniel Roman (2-0, 1KOs) dropped Alfredo Madrigal (1-1) very hard with a hook to the body in the second round, but couldn't finish him off and was forced to go the four round distance. Roman wins a four round unanimous decision with all three judges scoring it 40-35.
