The Ioka Boxing Gym will organize a historic boxing event on June 20 at the Bodymaker Colosseum (Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium) in the city of Osaka. In the main event, there will be a unification of two strawweight (minimumweight) world titles. The sensational undefeated world champion, WBC king Kazuto Ioka (9-0, 6KOs, 23 years old and from the Ioka Boxing Gym in Osaka), unifies with WBA world champion Akira Yaegashi (15-2, 8KOs, 29 years of age and from the Ohashi Boxing Gym in the city of Yokohama).

It is the first time in Japanese boxing history where a unification bout is made between two world champions from different sanctioning bodies in the same weight division.

Among the local experts, Ioka is a favorite in the fight and most consider him a superstar in the making. Last February, he stopped Thai boxer Oleydong Sithsamerchai and captured the WBC world title in his seventh pro fight - breaking the Japanese record of Jyoichiro Tatsuyoshi.

Ioka said - "I will do my best to get a decisive victory over Akira Yaegashi. I can say the fight could end quickly for me."
