It's looking more and more like Jermall Charlo's next defense of his IBF jr. middleweight title will come against Austin Trout on April 30th and with that top rated contender Julian 'J-Rock' Williams will be an interested observer.

Recently, Williams improved to 22-0-1 (14 KO's) by stopping Marcello Matano in seven rounds in what was an IBF final eliminator.

Stephen Edwards, the manager/trainer for Williams tells BoxingScene.com,"What's next is a shot at the IBF title by the mid-summer. So we're not going to even take a fight in-between. I'm sure you heard Charlo's fighting Trout because he asked to get another extension to get a voluntary defense out of the way."

Edwards believes Charlo is going to dominate Trout with few issues.

"A lot of people think that's a 50-50 fight but I think it's a showcase fight. I think he's going to blow Trout out the water - and we fight the winner," Edwards said.

As for the time frame for them to face the victor, Edwards states - "They've already given me a date for the fight so we already have a date. Julian wants to fight another quick one in-between but with the timing and the logistics, he's just going to have to sit tight because it's not that long off and they've promised me another fight by the end of the year.

"So we're just going to sit tight, start another mini-camp in about two or three weeks and just wait for the winner of Trout and Charlo."
