Former champion Jorge "Travieso" Arce (55-6-2, 42KOs) is gunning for a fight with WBO super bantamweight champion Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. (20-0-1, 17KOs) of Puerto Rico. Arce will return to action on December 18 in Campeche, Mexico. The opponent is Thailand veteran Medgoen Singsurat (70-6, 48KOs).

The Thailand veteran stays very active. He already fought seven times in 2010. This will be his second meeting with Arce. He was knocked out by Arce in one round in 2007. Arce views this battle as the possible final step before a showdown with Vazquez Jr.

"I want to convince everyone that I'm ready to fight for another world championship in another weight division. I will prepare in Los Mochis, in the gym Kochules. I will show up very well prepared. I feel that I'm at my best. I know that if I win on December 18, it's possible that I'll challenge Wilfredo Vazquez for the junior featherweight title, and I want that opportunity," Arce said.
