Jorge "Travieso" Arce (59-6-2, 45KOs), the bantamweight world champion of the World Boxing Organization, has come to a decision after speaking with his family. The Mexican star has determined that 2012 will be his final year as an active boxer.

Arce said: "In 2012, I will look for my sixth  world championship in a [sixth] weight division. And I'm not after easy opponents, on the contrary, I am looking for opponents like Jhonny Gonzalez and Nonito Donaire. I invested my savings in productive things. In 2012 I will dedicate my body and soul to my career in the ring, I'll get another crown, I want to keep making history."

Jorge fights on February 18 in Durango, Mexico. He faces Lorenzo Parra in a rematch.
