While discussions for an immediate rematch are already taking place, WBO super bantamweight champion Jorge Arce is very upset with Saturday's final outcome to his younger brother's title fight with WBA interim-bantamweight champion Hugo Ruiz, which took place in Los Mochis, Mexico. After twelve rounds of a close war, and both fighters hitting the floor, Francisco "Panchito" Arce was shocked when the judges gave Ruiz a wide twelve round decision. Two of the cards had Ruiz up 114-109.
"It saddens me that because of the judges, my brother was not crowned champion. The truth is, they stole it from him. Can you imagine, for my dad and my mom, it was like a dream when I won my fight. Even the Mexican television commentators would not accept Ruiz as the winner. This is what's wrong with boxing, and it's getting worse," said Jorge Arce.
