In a recent interview with the Chicago Sports Review, former four-division champion Roy Jones, Jr. mapped out a string of future opponents. First person on the radar is the returning Felix "Tito" Trinidad. Trinidad has held discussions with his promoter Don King for a potential January 2008 bout with Jones. The deal with Trinidad is far from done and Jones wants to stay busy by taking another fight before the end of the year.
"It ain't no comeback,"Jones said. "I never went nowhere. I do what I like to do. And as long as I can do it, I will. You saw me in the ring against (Anthony) Hanshaw smiling. I was more myself than in a long time."
Jones would like to get a revenge bout with Glen Johnson, and eventually stage a fourth bout with Antonio Tarver. He says that he will stop both of them, and Trinidad too.
After he ties up all of the loose ends in the light heavyweight divsion, he wants to move up in weight to win another heavyweight title.
"I'd go to the heavyweights and fight (Evander) Holyfield or (Wladimir) Klitchsko," Jones continues. "And I'd regain the heavyweight title."
Jones has made similiar comments in the past, and most experts view a move to the heavyweight division as a massacre waiting to happen, especially if he legitimately wants to fight Klitschko, which few doubt he does.
