Undefeated Joe Mesi (35-0, 28KOs) is ready to step up his game. His record is 6-0, 3KOs since coming from a medical suspension in 2006. Mesi returns to the ring on July 27 in Chester, West Virginia against an opponent yet to be finalized.
According to the Niagara Falls Reporter, Brian Minto (27-2, 16KOs), who appears on the same card, is likely to face Mesi at the same venue in October. Minto is best known for his July 2004 war with Vinnie Maddalone, which Minto won by knockout.
Minto has power in his punches, a decent chin and loves to fight. He's certainly a dangerous opponent who would present quite a challenge for Mesi.
