Joe Calzaghe (46-0) is considering a ring return for one last fight in his backyard of Cardiff. Since dominating Roy Jones Jr. last November in New York, Calzaghe has been taking some time off to consider his future options. During his last few interviews, he seemed to be leaning in the direction of retirement, but now he seems to be open for one last fight.

"It has got to be the right fight for me. It would be an awesome occasion though, and I know I would love it. It is a tough one, because I'm 37 in March, so I'm not exactly a spring chicken, but yes, of course I dream about boxing in front of 60,000 at the Millennium Stadium," Calzaghe told Daily Star.

"I don't want to be one of those fighters who says he is going to retire then six months down the line they come back and they do that again and again. When I say I am going. I want to be gone for good. I want it to be final.

Some thought Calzaghe would stick around long enough to challenge the unbeaten run of heavyweight legend Rocky Marciano. For a long time, breaking Marciano's record was a goal for Calzaghe. That is no longer the case. Calzaghe says there is not enough time, or desire, to stick around until his record hits 50-0.

"Although Rocky Marciano's record of 49-0 is so close, being realistic I don't think it is an option. I don't think 50-0 is possible, especially as I can only fight twice a year these days as my left hand takes so long to heal."
