Hughie Fury has been told that his ring return is to be pushed back a week after several days of confusion.

The heavyweight prospect had been set to feature on the undercard of his cousin Tyson’s world heavyweight title challenge against Wladimir Klitschko in Germany tonight.

Fury (17-0, 9 KOs), who advanced his unbeaten record two weeks ago with a two-round stoppage of Argentina’s Emilio Ezequiel Zarate in Bristol, had been slated to face Croatia’s Toni Visic (19-19-1, 5 KOs), who was brought in on less than 18 hours’ notice, at the ESPRIT Arena in Düsseldorf, but it has emerged that his promoter, Mick Hennessy, has pulled him from the card.

The 21-year-old will now appear next weekend, on December 5, at Westcroft Leisure Centre in Carshalton as part of the undercard to Lenny Daws’ vacant European super lightweight title clash against Madrid’s Ruben Nieto.
