On the June 30th edition of Golden Boy Live on Fox Sports 1, 50-year old Bernard Hopkins (55-7-2, 32KOs) revealed that he would fight one more time before calling it quits on what has been an illustrious career.

Hopkins recently spoke to BoxingScene.com and provided a few more details on his plans for his final fight.

"I would hope that it would (take place where) everybody can witness it from one side of the world to the other side of the world. Whether it's in the UK or the United States, I want it to be a fight with a name that is a threat where there is a possibility that Bernard Hopkins might feel something that he never felt before. I don't want a sideshow. I would never disrespect my legacy and (second) my family and then third, boxing. We want to see if it can be done to be put together respectfully on both sides. Me and my counterpart. Then you will see Bernard Hopkins at his best before this year is out," Hopkins told BoxingScene.com.

"We have a few names and I don't want to reveal them but honestly take my word for right now. We are working on two or three names and there is no contender or upcoming guy that just learned his ABCs. This is going to be a guy who gets a response from you or anybody else who is reading this interview saying, 'Why is he fighting that guy?' It is because they are afraid of me fighting this particular guy who is on the table as one of the three. I need to be in a threatened situation to be able to function and operate to be honest with you. That's me."
